Cloud Security Engineer

Role: Cloud Security EngineerLocation: Bangalore/HyderabadExperience: 5 to 8 YearsWork Mode: HybridKey Responsibilities:· Design and implement security architectures for Azurecloud environments, with support for multi -cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) asneeded.· Develop and enforce cloud security policies, standards,and guardrails using tools such as Azure Policy, Azure Blueprints, MicrosoftDefender for Cloud, and custom security controls.· Collaborate with Cloud Engineering and DevOps teams toembed security -by -design principles into infrastructure -as -code (e.g.,Terraform, ARM, Bicep) and CI/CD pipelines.· Monitor and respond to security events,vulnerabilities, and threats within the cloud infrastructure using SIEM,cloud -native monitoring tools, and third -party platforms.· Conduct threat modeling, risk assessments, and securityreviews for new cloud services and architectures.· Ensure proper implementation of identity and accessmanagement (IAM), privileged access management (PAM), and Zero Trust principlesacross all cloud environments.· Support security audits and compliance initiatives(e.g., HIPAA, SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST), providing evidence and remediation forcloud -based controls.· Automate security operations where possible to increaseresponsiveness and reduce manual effort.· Stay informed of emerging threats, vulnerabilities, andbest practices related to cloud security, and proactively recommendimprovements.Required Qualifications:· 5+ years of experience in information security, cloudengineering, or DevSecOps roles.· Strong hands -on experience with Microsoft Azuresecurity technologies and architecture.· Working knowledge of security best practices acrosspublic cloud spaces.· Proficiency with scripting and automation using toolslike PowerShell, Python, or Bash.· Familiarity with infrastructure -as -code and automationframeworks (e.g., Terraform, ARM, Bicep).· Deep understanding of cloud networking, identitymanagement, encryption, logging, and monitoring.· Experience implementing or managing SIEM, CSPM, or XDRtools.· Knowledge of security frameworks such as CISBenchmarks, NIST, or MITRE ATT&CK.· Strong analytical, communication, and collaborationskills.Preferred Qualifications:· Relevant certifications such as AZ -500, CCSP, CISSP,AWS Security Specialty· Experience with container security (e.g., Kubernetes,Docker).· Experience with data loss prevention (DLP), securesoftware development lifecycle (SSDLC), and vulnerability management in thecloud.· Familiarity with enterprise governance, risk, andcompliance (GRC) tools.About Us : Zapcom is a global Product Engineeringand Technology Services company, specializing in bespoke, customer -centricsolutions across industries like BFSI, e -commerce, retail, travel,transportation, and hospitality.
