Job Description

We are looking for a
Lead Backend Engineer
with
6+ years of experience
in backend application development, including strong expertise in
Kotlin, Java, and Spring Boot
. The ideal candidate will have experience designing
scalable APIs and services
, building
cloud-native backend systems
, and integrating them into modern
CI/CD pipelines (GitLab)
. This role involves collaborating across teams to deliver resilient, high-quality systems while driving engineering best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using
    Kotlin, Java, and Spring Boot
    .
  • Collaborate with architects, DevOps, and frontend teams to deliver end-to-end product features.
  • Build and integrate
    RESTful APIs
    with internal and external systems.
  • Implement automated build, test, and deployment pipelines using
    GitLab CI/CD
    .
  • Participate in
    code reviews, design discussions, and technical planning
    .
  • Ensure performance, security, and scalability across all backend systems.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot production issues, ensuring
    high system availability
    .

Must-Have Skills

  • 6+ years of experience in
    backend development
    .
  • 1+ year of relevant hands-on experience with
    Kotlin
    , strong proficiency in
    Java
    .
  • Expertise in
    Spring Boot
    and the Spring ecosystem.
  • Experience with
    CI/CD pipeline implementation
    using GitLab CI.
  • Solid understanding of
    microservices architecture
    and
    RESTful API design
    .
  • Proficiency in
    Git
    and collaborative development workflows.
