Job Description

This position is responsible for learning model year updates to all aspects of global automotive electrical schematics service information. The content includes but is not limited to the following: wiring diagrams, connector end views with wire pinouts, electrical component locator and wiring harness routing views, fuse block identification views and usage charts, master electrical component lists, and associated XML files. This position is required to learn how to produce accurate and complete service information that adheres to the OEM client requirements and concisely conveys the necessary technical information to the automotive technician. Service information may be published in multiple formats and may require an interface with multiple clients both internal and external. Regardless of deliverable or style, this position must learn to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks, while maintaining compliance with both corporate and customer quality standards, procedures, policies, and expectations.

Responsibilities

• Accurately research and update wiring diagram service manual content using client & engineering source data and supplied information. This includes:
• Carryover content (with or without changes)
• Work autonomously and independently in a remote work setting.
• Manage daily activities to ensure on-time completion of all deliverables.
• Follow current authoring procedures and processes, and stay up-to-date with new processes, software, and customer standards.
• Perform internal quality checks and respond to external quality reviews.
• Implement validation markups within timing metrics.
• 30 days from completion of validation or receipt of markups.
• Ensure that all published information meets quality standards.
• Utilize procedures, records, tools, equipment, facilities, and others as appropriate.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with the subject matter experts the client identifies.
• Document open issues and follow through on resolution and inclusion.

Qualifications

Skills Required:

• Strong understanding of modern automotive systems, with a focus on electrical components and systems.
• Strong attention to technical details.
• Ability to prioritize tasks on multiple publications to meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong command of the English language, both verbal and written.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Ability to learn to use unfamiliar and/or custom software and quickly become proficient.
• Positive Attitude and teamwork attributes.
• Effective work and task organizational skills.
• Job requires researching and analyzing OEM and supplier source information (which may not be consistent) and using logic and experience to determine the correct information to publish.

Education / Experience Required

B-Tech/Diploma in Automobile/Mechanical/Electronics & Communication Engineering or equivalent

This role is offered on a fixed-term basis for a duration of 12 months.
