Python Developer – Voice AI, Telephony & Real-Time Systems

About the Role

Work on an AI receptionist and assistant platform
that answers calls, books appointments, summarizes conversations, and provides real-time in-call support. You'll build and scale
real-time backend services

Key Responsibilities

  • Voice & Telephony (SIP/WebRTC/RTP):
  • Build Python (FastAPI)
    microservices for
    call control
    ,
    routing
    , and
    conference orchestration
    .
  • Handle
    real-time audio streaming
    ,
    ASR/TTS pipelines
    ,
    VAD
    , and
    barge-in
    features.
  • AI & Conversation Intelligence:
  • Integrate ASR/TTS/LLM APIs
    (Whisper, Deepgram, Google, OpenAI).
  • Implement
    summarization
    ,
    action-item extraction
    , and
    knowledge-based responses
    .
  • Scheduling & Personal Assistant:
  • Integrate with Google/Microsoft calendars
    , reminders, and time zones.
  • Support
    human escalation
    ,
    message routing
    , and
    policy-based SLAs
    .
  • Integrations & Vertical Solutions:
  • Build workflows for healthcare
    ,
    property management
    , and
    legal
    domains.
  • Connect to
    third-party APIs
    like
    Toast
    ,
    Jobber
    ,
    Salesforce
    , etc.
  • Platform Engineering:
  • Design scalable, observable systems
    using
    Redis

  • Manage
    CI/CD

Must-Have Skills


Python (5–10 yrs)
– FastAPI / Flask, microservices architecture


Real-time systems
– asyncio, WebSockets, gRPC, low-latency pipelines


Voice AI integration
– ASR, TTS, LLMs, transcription & summarization


Backend expertise
– SQL (MySQL/Postgres), Redis, Kafka, Celery


DevOps & Cloud
– Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/GCP/Azure


Testing & Monitoring
– pytest, OpenTelemetry, logging/tracing


Security focus
– secrets management, PII, HIPAA/PCI compliance

Nice to have skills:

Telephony/RTC (SIP/WebRTC, Asterisk, FreeSWITCH, Janus)

LLM Ops, Vector DBs (FAISS, PGVector, Weaviate)

Event-driven architecture, calendar & CRM APIs

Frontend familiarity (React/TypeScript)
