- Review supplier capability, certification status, and quality history as part of the supplier selection process.
- Support gap closure plans to elevate supplier quality systems and manufacturing process control.
2. Quality Planning for Work Transfer

- Verify supplier adherence to dimensional, material, and special process requirements through audits and sampling.
- Support Manufacturing Engineers and suppliers in resolving FAI-related issues and nonconformities.
- Approve or reject FAIRs per aerospace and customer quality standards.
4. Ongoing Supplier Quality Oversight
- Monitor supplier process capability and product quality during initial production runs.
- Lead structured problem solving and drive 8D / RCCA (Root Cause & Corrective Action) to eliminate recurrence of quality issues.
- Track supplier performance metrics (PPM, escape rate, on-time FAI submissions, audit findings closure).
- Support MRB (Material Review Board) disposition and coordinate quality issue communication with global teams.
5. Risk, Compliance & Continuous Improvement
- Ensure compliance to AS9100, NADCAP, ITAR/EAR, and any customer-specific quality requirements.
- Maintain supplier quality documentation in accordance with company procedures and regulatory expectations.
- Drive continuous improvement in supplier process control, documentation, and quality performance.
- Share lessons learned and contribute to standardization of transfer quality processes.
Qualifications you must have:

- Familiarity with GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and precision measurement tools (CMM, surface measurement, etc.).
- Skilled in documentation review, audit management, and process verification.
Qualifications we prefer:
- Certification in AS9100 Lead Auditor, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, or CQE (Certified Quality Engineer).

Key Skills & Competencies:
- Quality Leadership: Strong understanding of aerospace quality management systems and supplier audit protocols.
- Analytical Mindset: Data-driven approach to problem solving and process improvement.
- Communication & Influence: Able to coach suppliers and collaborate across global quality, engineering, and procurement teams.
- Technical Judgment: Skilled in evaluating supplier process capability and validation readiness.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional focus on compliance, traceability, and documentation integrity.
- Proactivity: Anticipates potential quality risks and drives timely containment and prevention actions.
Performance Indicators (Success Metrics):

- Timeliness and effectiveness of corrective action closures (8D cycle time).
