Oracle Generative AI Service is an exciting team in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. We are delivering innovative services at the intersection of artificial intelligence and cloud infrastructure. In Generative AI Service team, you will build and operate massive-scale cloud services leveraging state of art machine learning technologies. You will be part of a team of smart, hands-on engineers with the expertise and passion to solve difficult problems in distributed highly available services and virtualized infrastructure. At every level, our engineers have a significant technical and business impact by designing and building innovative new systems to power our customer's business critical applications.

Your Opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Software Development Manager to lead a team of engineers and deliver entire components or part of Agentic AI platform service. This is an engineering management role responsible for delivery, people management and operations. This position will report into Director of Software Development.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience as a software engineer in applications and distributed systems development
  • 3+ years of experience in an engineering and team management role
  • Experience with at least one high level language such as Java or GoLang
  • Experience with at least one scripting language such as Python / R
  • Experience in building services or APIs in cloud
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Excellent judgment to influence product roadmap direction, features, and priorities
  • Experience driving hiring, onboarding new engineers and ongoing performance management
  • Bachelor / Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer related technical discipline

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in working with Machine Learning/AI research teams
  • Experience and/or knowledge in ML operations, ML pipelines, Generative AI or Agentic AI services
