Job Description – Senior / Team Lead UX/UI Designer

Position Summary

We are seeking a
Senior / Team Lead UX/UI Designer
to lead the design strategy and execution for our digital products. This role balances
hands-on design work
with
team leadership
, ensuring high-quality, user-centric experiences that align with business goals. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in
eCommerce/product design
, strong visual/UI skills, and the ability to
mentor and guide junior designers
while collaborating across engineering, product, and marketing teams.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

  • Lead and mentor a team of UX/UI designers; provide guidance, feedback, and career development support.
  • Define and champion the design vision, design systems, and user experience strategy across products.
  • Partner with product managers and developers to align design goals with business priorities.
  • Establish and enforce design processes, quality standards, and best practices.
  • Advocate for user-centered design within cross-functional teams.

Design Execution

  • Conduct UX research, usability testing, and competitive analysis to inform design decisions.
  • Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity visual designs.
  • Develop and maintain a scalable
    design system
    for consistent experiences across web and mobile.
  • Balance
    business goals, technical constraints, and user needs
    in every design decision.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure designs are implemented accurately and efficiently.

Team & Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with marketing, branding, and analytics teams to ensure holistic user journeys.
  • Translate business requirements and user insights into clear design strategies.
  • Present design work to stakeholders and justify design decisions with evidence.
  • Foster a culture of feedback, continuous learning, and experimentation within the design team.

Requirements

  • 7+ years
    of experience in UX/UI design, with at least
    2+ years in a lead/manager role
    .
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating successful
    web, mobile, and eCommerce product designs
    .
  • Proficiency in
    Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator
    , or equivalent design tools.
  • Experience with
    design systems, responsive design, and accessibility (WCAG standards)
    .
  • Strong understanding of
    HTML/CSS basics
    to collaborate effectively with developers.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and leadership skills.

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience working in
    Agile/Scrum
    environments.
  • Familiarity with
    analytics tools (GA4, Hotjar, Mixpanel, etc.)
    for data-driven design.
  • Exposure to
    conversion rate optimization (CRO)
    and A/B testing in eCommerce.
  • Knowledge of motion design or micro-interactions (Framer Motion, After Effects).
  • Previous experience in
    team scaling, hiring, or coaching designers
    .
