Job Title: CCTV Technician

Job Summary:

The CCTV Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and servicing of CCTV systems and related security equipment on the client location. This includes configuring cameras, DVR/NVR systems, access control systems, and ensuring optimal system performance to maintain security and surveillance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and test CCTV cameras, DVRs/NVRs, and related equipment.
• Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting of CCTV and security systems.
• Inspect and repair malfunctioning equipment or wiring issues.
• Ensure all installations comply with safety and quality standards.
• Monitor and assess system performance; upgrade firmware and software as needed.
• Provide technical support and training to clients or end-users on system operation.
• Maintain accurate documentation of installation, service, and repair work.
• Coordinate with IT and security teams to integrate CCTV systems with network infrastructure.
• Ensure all work meets company and customer specifications and deadlines.
• Stay updated on new CCTV technologies, tools, and installation techniques.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven experience as a CCTV technician or similar technical role.
• Strong knowledge of analog and IP CCTV systems, cabling, and network configuration.
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Hands-on experience with DVR/NVR systems, video management software, and access control.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, routers, switches
• Physically fit and able to work at heights or in confined spaces.
• Valid driver's license (if field work is required).

Work Environment:

• Field and office-based work.
• May require working on weekend also.
