Role Overview:

As a Python Web Scraping Developer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining web scraping tools and workflows to collect structured data from diverse online sources. You will tackle challenges such as dynamic content, anti-scraping mechanisms, and large-scale data extraction, helping to empower our business intelligence and analytics efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain web scraping scripts and crawlers using Python (Scrapy, BeautifulSoup, Selenium).

Extract data from both static and dynamic websites with complex JavaScript content.

Implement solutions to bypass anti-scraping mechanisms like CAPTCHAs, rate limiting, IP blocking.

Clean, validate, and structure extracted data for downstream processing.

Integrate scraping workflows with databases and data pipelines.

Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize scraping jobs to ensure reliability and scalability.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver actionable datasets.

Required Skills and Experience:

Strong proficiency in Python programming.

Hands-on experience with web scraping libraries: Scrapy, BeautifulSoup, Selenium.

Experience scraping JavaScript-heavy and dynamic websites.

Familiarity with HTTP protocols, handling sessions, headers, cookies.

Understanding of anti-scraping techniques and methods to overcome them.

Experience with data storage solutions: SQL, NoSQL databases, or cloud storage.

Ability to write clean, modular, and well-documented code.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Good communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of proxy management, CAPTCHA solving tools.

Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP for deploying scraping infrastructure.

Experience with APIs and data integration pipelines.

Previous work on large-scale scraping projects or data engineering.
