Key Responsibilities:

Cloud-Native SaaS Architecture Design

• Develop scalable SaaS components using cloud-native services.
• Implement microservices components for medical imaging data processing.
• Build API endpoints and service integrations under supervision.
• Support platform features for clinical trials and imaging workflows.
• Assist in implementing auto-scaling and load balancing features.

AI-Driven Medical Imaging Platform Development

• Implement AI/ML model integration components under guidance.
• Develop processing modules for medical imaging data (DICOM, NIfTI, etc.).
• Build DICOM-compliant data processing components.
• Implement DICOM image preprocessing modules.
• Support AI model deployment and basic monitoring tasks.

Medical Image Viewer Integration & Workflow Design

• Develop components for medical imaging viewers (OHIF, ).
• Implement API components for clinical trial system integration.
• Build user interface components for medical imaging applications.
• Create basic visualization components for AI-generated insights.
• Implement responsive design features for cross-platform compatibility.

Security & Compliance Implementation

• Implement security features following FDA 21 CFR Part 11, and GxP guidelines.
• Develop audit trail components and data integrity features.
• Implement authentication and authorization modules.
• Build encryption and role-based access control features.
• Support backup and recovery solution development.

Database & Data Management

• Implement database solutions for DICOM metadata management.
• Develop DICOM tag processing and query components.
• Build data processing modules for DICOM datasets.
• Implement data streaming components for image analysis.
• Develop data validation and quality control features.

Performance Optimization & Monitoring

• Implement monitoring components for platform performance.
• Optimize code for medical imaging file processing.
• Build caching mechanisms and performance optimization features.
• Implement alerting and logging components.
• Support platform reliability and SLA compliance initiatives.

Technical Development & Learning

• Implement features following technology stack guidelines.
• Learn and apply emerging technologies in medical imaging and AI/ML.
• Participate actively in code reviews and follow development best practices.
• Follow coding standards and quality assurance processes.
• Support technical documentation and system maintenance tasks.

Innovation

• Monitor the market to gather intelligence on emerging technologies.
• Share knowledge and insights with others.

Functional Competencies (Technical Knowledge/Skills):

• Basic understanding of DICOM standard and medical imaging workflows
• Awareness of DICOM image processing and metadata handling
• Understanding of medical imaging modalities and their basic implementations
• Basic knowledge of clinical trial processes and regulatory compliance

Experience, Education and Certifications

• Proven post-qualification software development experience, including meaningful contributions to projects in healthcare technology or related domains
• Experience developing cloud-based applications or SaaS components
• Basic experience with AI/ML integration or willingness to learn
• Awareness of regulated software development processes (FDA, GxP)
• Experience with medical imaging file formats or willingness to learn
• Exposure to clinical systems or electronic data capture platforms
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or C# for backend development
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks (React, Angular) or willingness to learn
• Basic experience with cloud services: compute, storage, databases
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

• Experience with monitoring and logging tools

• Experience with medical imaging standards (DICOM, HL7 FHIR) and basic DICOM processing

• Basic experience with DICOM standard implementation and DICOM parsing libraries as well as DICOM networking protocols and DICOMweb services
• Exposure to AI/ML solutions and basic MLOps concepts
• Experience with database development for relational and NoSQL systems
• Bachelor's Degree (Master's or PhD's preferred) in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Software Engineering, or related technical discipline
• Additional certifications in cloud platforms preferred
• English: Fluent
