Role & responsibilities
- Implement and monitor hospital-wide infection prevention and control policies.
- Conduct regular infection surveillance and audits in clinical areas.
- Investigate and report healthcare-associated infections (HAIs).
- Train hospital staff on standard precautions, PPE usage, and hygiene protocols.
- Ensure compliance with NABH infection control standards.
- Monitor sterilization, disinfection, and biomedical waste practices.
- Coordinate with infection control committees and support internal/external audits.
Preferred candidate profile
- 2-5 years of experience as an Infection Control Nurse in a hospital setting.
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and HAI prevention.
- Effective communication and training skills.
- Exposure to NABH accreditation process is a plus.
- Certification in Infection Control (CIC).
