We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Fund Administrator

Business: Corp & Inst Banking

Principal responsibilities

• User Administration of Fund Services (FS) in HSBC Markets & Securities Services Operations such as Markit EDM, HSBCnet, OHTP Tradeflow, Icon, B-One, HSBCNet, MIG 21, EMX, MIM,
• User administration of Custodian applications/platforms.
• Point of contact for process related Metrics, Hiring, Team System access Etc.
• Understand the supported applications and ensure timely and accurate processing of User Entitlements within agreed PLAs and maintain MI trackers, support UAT, queries and respond to internal and external client and take appropriate corrective actions.
• Proactively identify and improve on service delivery.
• Help build an open environment that encourages ownership of issues, prioritization of works, effective cross training and knowledge sharing
• Work with colleagues to ensure effective hand-over of queries and problems, sharing of work-load, responsibilities within the team.
• Drive self-development through soft skill training, personal development plans and performance management reviews.
• Ensure control measures/checkpoints are adhered to.  Procedural changes/new initiatives are fully implemented.
• Aware of the operational risks associated with the role and acts in a manner that takes account of these.
• Maintains HSBC internal control standards, including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators
• Adherence to the SOPs and follow the recommendations of quality checks
• Adherence to the Group's agreed processes / procedures – achieving a satisfactory Audit report.
• Deal with the applications of varied nature/complexities
• Any other non-daily operational matters and ad-hoc requests that maybe assigned due to Business Requirements.
• Perform manual audit recertification for the none GIAM applications.
• Actively identify any system access related risk issues and work on to resolve them with key stakeholders.
• Monitor the work basket and ensure all the daily allocations are completed within the SLA defined.

Management of Risk

• Abide by the Group Compliance Policy by containing compliance risk in conjunction with the relevant Compliance Department.  The term compliance embraces all relevant laws, rules and codes with which the business has to apply.
• Maintain HSBC internal control standards including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points, together with any issues raised by external regulators
• To continually re-assess the operational risks inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures, management restructures, and the impact of new technology in conjunction with the donor Group companies.
• Understanding of Group FIMs, Group Audit / Internal Control Review / Compliance reports

 Qualifications

• Strong basic PC skills and computer literate (E)
• IT Systems support experience highly desirable. (D)
• Any knowledge or working experience in ICON, MIG21, OHTP Tradeflow, HSBCNet, Metastorm, FDP, B-One (D)
• Experience in user administration tasks is highly desirable (D).
• General Investment Administration experience (D)
• Strong working knowledge on MS Office especially in MS Excel macros. (D)
• Excellent problem solving skills (E)
• Able to work under pressure (E)
• Ability to own assigned pieces of work and show a sense of proactiveness, responsibility and ownership
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (E)
• Good analytical skills. (E)
• Must be able to work closely with all levels of business user and IT staff (E)
• Proactive and willing to use own initiative to resolve issues (E)
• Ability to work unsupervised and under pressure for periods of time, individually and as part of a team (E)
• Ability to work to tight deadlines (E)
• Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical personnel (E)
• Well organised, detail-oriented, and able to multitask and demonstrate persistence and attention to detail in approach to task completion (E)
• Ability to build excellent rapport and working relationship with other departments and jurisdiction thus ensuring smooth   operations(E)
• Good Excel/Tableau skills required for publishing meaningful data related to process KPI/KRI, Heatmap, Trend Analysis of exceptions and STP numbers etc. (E)
