Carnot Research is hiring a DevOps Engineer (1–2 years experience)

Responsibilities

  • Build, manage, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar IaC tools
  • Manage containerized applications using Docker and orchestrators like Kubernetes
  • Monitor system performance, reliability, and uptime using modern observability tools
  • Work closely with backend, frontend, and AI teams to ensure smooth deployment and integration
  • Maintain cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure) with a focus on scalability, cost-efficiency, and security
  • Implement DevOps best practices: version control, automation, logging, rollbacks, and incident response
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues with a strong ownership mindset

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering
  • Solid understanding of Linux systems, networking basics, and shell scripting
  • Strong experience with Docker and container lifecycle management
  • Basic knowledge of Kubernetes (deployment, services, config maps)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD workflows and version control (Git)
  • Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS/GCP/Azure)
  • Understanding of monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch, etc.)
  • Problem-solving skills, accountability, and a strong automation-first mindset
