Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Electrical Engineer, located in Jaipur Rajasthan, India. The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for

Repair and Maintenance of Street Lights and High Mast Lights

1.5.1.

Staff to be deployed of O&M services of streetlights and high mast lights must have requisite qualification, experience and licence as may be prescribed under applicable rules and regulations in the State. Operator shall be required to submit the qualification, experience and licence related documents to EIC before such staff is deputed for O&M Services of streetlights and high mast lights.

1.5.2.

Streetlights and high mast lights shall be handed over to the Operator in as-is condition. Operator shall undertake all required repair/ replacement works and bring all streetlights and high mast lights in working condition (properly illuminated with luminaire of specified wattage) within 15 days of signing of the Agreement, failure of which shall attract applicable penalty on the part of the Operator.

1.5.3.

Regular Operation & Maintenance including watch & ward of IP-65/66 protected 72-watt LED streetlights luminaire on existing tubular poles with bracket including all required material, wiring, underground cables and panels etc. complete in all respect at Industrial Area as per enclosed terms & conditions and direction of Engineer-In-Charge.

1.5.4.

Regular Operation & Maintenance of following streetlights luminaire on existing high masts poles with bracket including all required material, wiring, underground cables, panels, watch & ward etc. complete in all respect at Industrial Area as per directions of Engineer-In-Charge and enclosed terms & conditions :High Mast Lights 200-watt x 12 Lights on each Pole.

1.5.5.

Erection of octagonal poles re construction of concrete pedestal in Cement Concrete (1:1.5:3) 1 Cement 1.5 Sand 3 Aggregate including earth work fixing of anchor bolts 16mm dia. and 750 mm length as per design erection of poles and fixing of light fixtures and connections etc complete in all respect as per directions of Engineer in Charge.

LED luminaries to be used for streetlights and high mast lights shall be of 40-Watt, 70-Watt, 125-Watt, 150 Watt, 200 Watt, 250 Watt as decided by the EIC. Operation & Maintenance including watch & ward of IP-65/66 protected 72-watt LED streetlights luminaire on existing tubular poles with bracket including all required material, wiring, underground cables, and panels etc. complete in all respect at Industrial Area as per enclosed terms & conditions and direction of Engineer-In-Charge.

1.5.8.

Operator shall undertake breakdown and preventive works for rectification and routine maintenance for streetlights system including the high mast light in the Industrial Park.

1.5.9.

Ensure that all streetlights are in working condition at all times during the O&M Period.

1.5.10.

Streetlights and high mast lights shall be switched-on (in evening hours) and switched-off (in early morning hours) as per the time finalized by EIC. Operator shall also install automatic on-off timer for streetlights and high mast lights at its own cost and expenses.

1.5.11.

Operator shall be responsible for undertaking the following breakdown/ complaints:

a)

Attend minor complaint/breakdown relating to streetlights immediately on daily basis. No complaints shall be left unattended and not be postposed to next day.

b)

All the material and equipment including the streetlight repairing lift, cable fault testing machine, etc. required for attending the breakdown/ complaint shall be arranged by the Operator.

c)

Attend network cable system fault in various locations for streetlights, jointing and cables.

d)

Remove the hoardings/ posters/ advertisement boards placed on the street poles and ensure that all street poles are free from hindrances at all the times.

e)

Repair and reconditioning works in luminaries including replacement of spares i.e. LED bulb, choke, ignitors, holders, cable, etc. in the street light fittings at electric poles and high mast lights, cost, and expenses of which shall be borne by the Operator only. RIICO shall not provide any spares/consumable for repair, rectification and maintenance of streetlights and high mast lights.

f)

Repair of main panels, feeder panels, junction box, brackets, fuse box, etc. to ensure uninterrupted working of streetlights and high mast lights. Spares, if need for repair of these electrical equipment, shall be arranged by the Operator at its own cost.

g)

Attend tightness of terminals and cleaning of switch gears for the street light control.

1.5.12.

In addition to the above, Operator shall continue undertaking following preventive maintenance activities to ensure uninterrupted working of streetlights and high mast lights at the Operator's cost and expenses:

a)

Straightening and strengthening of titled poles, replacement of broken poles, etc.

b)

Removal of bird nest/ any other unwanted cables, wires/ internet & cable TV wires, posters, minor trimming of trees as per requirements.

c)

Operator shall ensure preventive maintenance is undertaken in such a way that all electrical works are guarded against electric current, theft, leakages, other damages.

d)

Preventive maintenance activities shall be undertaken at least two days in a month and undertake the activities specified hereinabove for O&M services for streetlights and high mast light.

e)

Ensure that electric panels and feeder panels are free from bird nests, thoroughly cleaned, wiring in panels is properly managed.

f)

Cleaning of luminaire fixtures/ covers with water and soda as per requirement and replacement if the same broken/ damaged.

g)

Ensure that cables between the electric poles is covered underground, and not exposed openly which may lead to accidents or damage to the cable.

h)

Change of location of panel/ feeder panels as per requirements

Qualifications

• Electrical Engineering ( GRADUATE/DIPLOMA/ITI)
• 3 Years EXPERIENCE CERTIFICATE MANDATORY
• Electrical Supervisor License from any govt. Class- I, CLASS -I issued by govt. of NCT Delhi Will be preferable
• Comprehensive understanding of Electricity and Power Distribution
• Experience with Power Systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
