Job Description: School Principal (K–12, CBSE)

Position: Principal

Experience: Minimum 8–12 years in teaching & school leadership (at least 3–5 years as Principal/Vice Principal)

Board: CBSE

Qualification: Postgraduate with B.Ed/M.Ed (doctorate preferred)


Key Responsibilities

  1. Academic Leadership

Ensure effective implementation of CBSE curriculum across all grades.

Monitor classroom teaching, lesson planning, and assessment systems.

Lead academic audits and maintain high academic standards.

Introduce innovative teaching methodologies, experiential learning, and NEP 2020 guidelines.

  1. School Administration

Oversee day-to-day functioning of the school.

Ensure strict adherence to CBSE affiliation norms and compliance documentation.

Manage school policies, safety standards, discipline, and hygiene protocols.

Coordinate with administrative, transport, housekeeping, and security teams.

  1. Staff Management

Recruit, train, mentor, and supervise teachers and academic coordinators.

Conduct regular performance evaluations and teacher development programs.

Build a positive school culture and promote teamwork.

  1. Parent & Community Engagement

Conduct regular parent meetings, orientations, and feedback sessions.

Address grievances and maintain transparent communication with stakeholders.

Represent the school in community events and build strong public relations.

  1. Student Development

Ensure holistic development through academics, co-curricular, sports, and life-skills programs.

Monitor student discipline, attendance, and counseling needs.

Promote values, ethics, and emotional well-being.

  1. Finance & Operations

Work with management on budgeting, resource allocation, and financial planning.

Ensure optimal utilization of school resources.

Support in admissions, marketing activities, and school growth strategies.

  1. Compliance & Reporting

Maintain regulatory documentation required by CBSE, state authorities, and local bodies.

Ensure readiness for inspections, audits, and accreditation processes.

Prepare academic reports, annual plans, and school progress updates.
