Role & responsibilities

Key Result Areas:

  • Oversee daily operations of the conductor testing lab, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow optimization.
  • Ensure all tests (mechanical, electrical, thermal, environmental) are conducted per relevant standards and client specifications.
  • Lead internal audits, maintain documentation, and ensure compliance with ISO/IEC 17025, NABL guidelines and other regulatory frameworks.
  • Coordinate with R&D, production, and quality teams to support product development and troubleshooting.
  • Prepare budgets, manage procurement of lab consumables and equipment, and ensure cost-effective operations.
  • Timely ILC, PT, AMC & calibration of the equipment. Adhering to SOPs during testing & report preparation.
  • Train, mentor, upscale and evaluate laboratory staff.
  • Coordinate with sales, marketing, procurement, production, and quality teams for product design, hardware accessories, customer interaction/satisfaction, and feasibility analysis.

Key Competencies :

  • To ensure that the lab management system is implemented and followed at all times
  • To control the lab management system documentation and its changes.
  • To monitor and control management reviews and post management review activities.
  • To plan, organize, record and analyze internal audits.
  • To report the internal/external audits to the Laboratory Head.
  • To follow up on the timely closing of findings of the internal /external audits.
  • To monitor corrective & preventive actions
  • To emphasize the need to maintain confidentiality.
  • To monitor and control training activities.
  • To maintain records pertaining to the document control, internal audits, management review & NABL Correspondence.
  • Familiarity in working with MS Office, data interpretation tools, and regression analysis.
