Role Overview
The Vice President will lead strategic initiatives to unlock customer insights and drive business growth through data. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership, and business acumen, aligned with the organizations competency framework across Strategic Thinking, Stakeholder Influence, People Leadership, and Analytical Excellence.
Core Competencies & Responsibilities
- Define and execute the customer analytics strategy aligned with business and customer experience goals.
- Translate customer insights into actionable strategies for acquisition, retention, and personalization.
- Influence enterprise-wide data strategy and customer-centric transformation.- Collaborate with CXOs and senior leaders across Marketing, Product, Digital, and CRM.
- Present insights and recommendations in executive forums.
Drive adoption of analytics across business units and ensure alignment with business priorities.
Lead the full lifecycle of predictive model development including problem framing, data preparation, feature engineering, model selection, validation, deployment, and monitoring.
- Apply statistical and machine learning techniques such as logistic regression, decision trees, ensemble methods, and neural networks.
Build models for customer segmentation, churn prediction, cross-sell/up-sell targeting, CLTV, and personalization.
Partner with Marketing and CRM teams to optimize campaign performance and customer journeys.
- Analyze campaign effectiveness across channels using attribution models and uplift analysis.
- Develop frameworks for segmentation, propensity modeling, offer optimization, and channel mix modeling.
- Support A/B and multivariate testing to improve conversion and engagement.
- Enable real-time personalization using customer data platforms (CDPs).
Provide insights on CAC, retention drivers, and loyalty metrics.
Oversee the development of dashboards and reporting frameworks for customer insights and marketing performance
Qualifications
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, or related field.
- 10–12 years of experience in analytics, with significant exposure to customer and marketing analytics.
- Strong command of SQL, Python/R, and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
- Proven experience in building and deploying predictive models and marketing analytics frameworks.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
Preferred Experience
- Domain expertise in BFSI, retail, NBFC or digital consumer businesses.
- Familiarity with CDPs, CRM platforms, and marketing automation tools.
- Exposure to cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and real-time analytics environments.
