We're looking for a Senior Java Backend Developer to join our  evolving WPG team to help us unleash the potential of every business.

About the Team:

WPG Processes multicurrency payments through 300+ traditional card and alternative payment methods. Fraud and risk management, analytics, reporting, and treasury services available in WPG.Currently processing 15 million transactions a day, compared to 8 million in 2019 for 1200 Enterprise and 30k medium level merchants.Few teams maintain this gateway and ensure it is security vulneribilities are monitiroed and fixed , outdated third party libraries are upgraded  and also work on different reports we produce for merchants on transactions done by them.

What you will own

• You will be owning the designing and planning test strategies for projects and applications

• You will be undertaking planning activities for agile deliveries

• You will work alongside the Automation Test Lead to progress automation backlog items

• You will create automated tests to enhance the existing test suite using Karate and Rest-assured

• You will support and maintain the test automation framework with respect to implementation of new features, existing features and bug fixes

• You will be analyzing requirements and user stories to derive automated test cases, adding to the test suite using Karate and Rest-assured

• You will be executing tests thoroughly to ensure software quality, running automated tests and identifying defects

• You will work with product owner to identify NFR and plan for performance testing

• You will execute and report performance tests in relation to specified SLOs

• You will be actively contributing to process improvement initiatives and enhancements to current procedures including recommending quality improvements

• You will be working with project teams to resolve any issues in a timely manner whilst keeping relevant stakeholders informed of progress and challenges

• You will be supporting and maintaining the test automation framework with respect to implementation of new features, existing features, or bug fixes

• Makes recommendations and directs improvements to the software development lifecycle process.

What you bring:

1.Experience in design/implementation and maintenance of automation frameworks (keyword driven/data driven/BDD
2. Expert in Java coding / Expert in Rest/SOAP web service automation
3. Hands on experience on Java, Karate, REST Assured.
4. Good working experience on Unix/Linux platform.
5. Knowledge about CI tools like Jenkins.
