Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management and Reporting

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, ledgers, and records.
  • Reconcile bank statements and manage all financial transactions.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and governing bodies.
  • Monitor cash flow and ensure proper fund allocation for school operations.

Budgeting and Forecasting

  • Assist in preparing and managing the school's annual budget.
  • Track budget performance and report any variances or discrepancies.
  • Provide financial projections to support planning and development initiatives.

Fee Collection and Accounts Receivable

  • Oversee student fee billing, collections, and record maintenance.
  • Follow up on outstanding payments and issue receipts.
  • Maintain accurate student financial accounts.

Accounts Payable and Procurement Support

  • Process supplier invoices and staff reimbursements.
  • Verify and ensure timely payments to vendors and service providers.
  • Support procurement activities by maintaining proper documentation and approvals.

Payroll Administration

  • Prepare and process staff payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax and labor laws.
  • Manage statutory deductions and ensure timely remittance (e.g., taxes, pension, social security).

Compliance and Audit Support

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, school policies, and relevant regulations.
  • Prepare and support internal and external audits.
  • Maintain confidentiality and integrity of all financial data.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) preferred.
  • Minimum of 2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in an educational or non-profit environment.
