Position Summary:

The Information / Cyber Security Analyst will be responsible for developing and implementing robust security controls, defenses, and countermeasures to prevent internal and external security breaches. The role involves maintaining and enhancing firewalls, encryption protocols, and cybersecurity policies to ensure data integrity, confidentiality, and compliance across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Application Owners and Security & Compliance Teams to define and capture application security requirements.
  • Design and implement application security services aligned with VerveTronics' IT architecture and business needs.
  • Participate in ongoing and upcoming security and compliance projects.
  • Integrate and enhance DevOps and Agile security practices using tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, and GitHub (both on-premises and cloud).
  • Conduct automated and manual security testing as part of CI/CD pipelines.
  • Work cross-functionally to enable innovation in application security.
  • Compile, review, and maintain security documentation and reports.
  • Monitor compliance with information security policies and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Provide first-line security support for IT Helpdesk incidents.
  • Manage Security Operations incidents and request queues.
  • Oversee IT asset and infrastructure management.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of application security and cybersecurity frameworks in an international context.
  • Hands-on experience with code analysis tools (e.g., Coverity, Black Duck Hub).
  • Experience in application security evaluation using fuzzing tools and DAST vulnerability assessment scanners.
  • Good knowledge of defensive cybersecurity practices, networking concepts, and packet analysis.
  • Ability to assess vulnerabilities and apply threat intelligence effectively.
  • Cloud computing knowledge (deployment, monitoring, and security of cloud applications).
  • Front-end and Web Development skills, including HTML and understanding of BHP.
  • Completed MKCL certification courses in Cyber Security.

· Excellent English communication skills – both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualities:

  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks independently with strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Experience in publishing or presenting cybersecurity research or technical reports.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative and analytical mindset to design unique firmware or system-level attack simulations for testing.
  • Strong team collaboration and adherence to project timelines.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Completion of MKCL-certified Cyber Security, Web Development, and Front-End Development courses with hands-on projects.
  • Equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience may be considered.
  • 0-2 years of experience and projects (preferred).
