Role & responsibilities

  • Windows Server Management: Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • DNS Administration: Manage and maintain DNS infrastructure to ensure seamless network operations.
  • SCOM (System Center Operations Manager): Monitor and manage the health and performance of IT systems using SCOM.
  • ADFS (Active Directory Federation Services): Support the day-to-day operations of ADFS, including monitoring, basic configuration checks, and first-level troubleshooting of federation and single sign-on issues
  • PKI Infrastructure: Conduct routine operational tasks such as certificate request processing, renewal tracking, and monitoring of PKI services, while coordinating with senior teams for infrastructure-level configurations and issue resolution.
  • Active Directory Administration: Manage and maintain Active Directory, including user account management, group policies, and domain services.
  • PowerShell Automation: Develop and implement PowerShell scripts to automate routine tasks, improve efficiency, and reduce manual intervention.
  • Entra ID Connect and Entra ID: Perform routine monitoring, basic troubleshooting, and support activities for Entra ID Connect and Entra ID services, including user sync issues and access requests, while escalating complex issues to L3 support.
  • Security and Compliance: Ensure the security and compliance of Windows Server and Active Directory environments by implementing best practices and adhering to organizational policies.
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for Windows Server and Active Directory-related issues, working closely with other IT teams to resolve incidents promptly.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, processes, and procedures related to Windows Server, Active Directory, and PowerShell automation.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, and recommend improvements to enhance the IT infrastructure.
  • ITSM Process Understanding: Understand and implement IT Service Management (ITSM) processes, including change, request, and incident management.

Functional Skills/Competencies:

  • Proficiency in Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 administration
  • Strong knowledge of DNS, SCOM, ADFS, and PKI Infrastructure.
  • Expertise in Active Directory management and automation.
  • Advanced PowerShell scripting and application development skills.
  • Experience with Entra ID Connect, Entra ID, and Microsoft Graph.
  • Experience with M365 administration and VMware management.
  • Understanding of ITSM processes and best practices.

Behavioral Skills/Competencies:

Excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and the capacity to work both independently and as part of a team.
