Backend Developer – Kalagato

Location: Remote (Work From Home)

Role Overview

We are seeking a Backend Developer who can design and implement scalable, efficient, and secure backend systems for high-traffic applications.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with cloud infrastructure, building APIs, integrating AI/ML pipelines, and optimizing system performance for production environments.

Responsibilities

  • Architect, develop, and maintain microservices, APIs, and data-driven systems.
  • Build backend pipelines supporting large-scale analytics and LLM-powered systems.
  • Integrate AI modules (LangChain, OpenAI, Llama2, etc.) into backend workflows.
  • Implement database models and query optimizations for high performance.
  • Design scalable REST APIs and ensure low-latency data communication.
  • Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and ML teams for end-to-end delivery.
  • Ensure code quality, testing, documentation, and CI/CD integration.

Preferred Qualifications

  • B.Tech/B.E. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
  • Strong foundation in backend architecture and distributed systems.
  • Understanding of ML/AI integration workflows and data pipelines.
  • Prior experience in AI/ML, Fintech, or Data Analytics projects is a plus.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, research-oriented startup environments.
