Position Summary

Level: Consultant or equivalent

As an experienced Consultant at Deloitte Consulting, you will be responsible for individually delivering high quality work products within due timelines. Need-basis you will be mentoring and/or directing junior team members/liaising with onsite/offshore teams to understand the functional requirements.

Work you'll do:

Apply industry knowledge to requirements gathering and analysis, ensuring alignment with sector needs. Demonstrate expertise across the entire software development lifecycle, from design and coding to deployment and defect resolution, collaborating with stakeholders for effective delivery. Conduct peer and team reviews to maintain quality standards. Actively engage in Agile practices, including sprint planning, retrospectives, and effort estimation. Build and share business process knowledge, supporting project knowledge management and team training. Proactively recommend process improvements, track efficiency gains, and contribute to automation and innovation, all aimed at enhancing project outcomes and delivering greater value to clients.

At Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure we deliver solutions spanning Hybrid Cloud, Advanced Connectivity, AI Data Centers, High-Performance Computing, and AI Infrastructure to help clients achieve their desired outcomes. Our offerings include engineered transformation services for hybrid cloud infrastructure and platforms, prioritizing resiliency, optimization, and extensive automation. We integrate advanced connectivity with AI infrastructure and enterprise networks to boost operational efficiency and enable real-time data processing. Additionally, we provide comprehensive management of all facets of operations for hybrid cloud infrastructure and field operations.

Qualifications

Must Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:

• 3-6 years of hands-on experience as a DBA with SQL Server and/or Oracle environments (at least one should be with deep proficiency).
• Experience in database installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and security hardening.
• Strong grasp of database backup/restore, disaster recovery, and high availability techniques (e.g., SQL Server Always On, clustering; Oracle Data Guard, RAC).
• Proven ability in performance tuning (query optimization, indexing, analyzing execution plans).
• In-depth knowledge of security concepts-roles, permissions, encryption, auditing.
• Experience in troubleshooting complex database issues.
• Familiarity with scripting for automation (T-SQL, PL/SQL, PowerShell, Bash, etc.)
• Certification: Oracle Database SQL Certified Associate

Good to Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:

• Exposure to cloud-based database solutions (e.g., AWS RDS, Oracle Cloud).
• Hands-on with automation and monitoring tools (e.g., SQL Server Agent, OEM, Redgate, SolarWinds).
• Experience with database migrations (on-prem to cloud, version upgrades, platform migrations).
• Familiarity with NoSQL platforms (MongoDB, Cosmos DB) or Big Data concepts.
• Exposure to DevOps pipelines involving database changes and source control (e.g., Flyway, Liquibase).
• Knowledge of advanced security (Transparent Data Encryption, Advanced Threat Protection)
• Certification: Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate

Education:

• BE/B.Tech/M.C.A./M.Sc (CS) degree or equivalent from accredited university

Location:

• Bengaluru/Hyderabad/Pune/Chennai/Kolkata

Shift Timings:

• 11 AM to 8 PM or 2 PM to 11 PM IST as per business requirements
