Key Responsibilities:

Direct Tax Compliance:

Ensure timely and accurate computation, filing, and payment of direct taxes including Advance Tax, TDS, and Income Tax returns.

Tax Assessments & Audits:

Handle assessments, reassessments, and tax audits conducted by income tax authorities. Draft appropriate responses to queries and notices.

GST Operations Support:

Collaborate with the indirect tax team for GST compliance, filings, and reconciliations to ensure accurate and complete tax reporting.

Litigation Management:

Represent the company in tax litigation matters before appellate authorities and coordinate with external consultants and legal counsel. Draft submissions, appeals, and documentation for tax disputes.

Transfer Pricing:

Assist in preparing and reviewing transfer pricing documentation and reports. Ensure TP policies are aligned with applicable tax regulations.

Advisory & Strategic Tax Planning:

Advise management on tax implications of business decisions. Identify opportunities for tax optimization within legal frameworks.

Stakeholder Coordination:

Liaise with internal departments, external auditors, and government authorities for smooth functioning of taxation matters.

Qualifications:

Education: Chartered Accountant (CA) – Mandatory

Experience: 2–4 years of post-qualification experience in Direct Taxation, with hands-on exposure to GST, Litigation, and Transfer Pricing.

Key Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of Indian direct tax laws
  • Strong understanding of GST regulations and compliance
  • Experience in handling tax assessments, appeals, and notices
  • Familiarity with transfer pricing methods and documentation
  • Excellent communication and drafting skills
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail

Preferred Industry Background:

Consulting firms, CA firms, or corporate tax departments in mid-to-large size organizations.
