Primary Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and maintain vendor software products on Unix/Linux systemsMonitor system performance and ensure system availability and reliabilityImplement and manage monitoring tools to ensure system health and performanceDevelop and maintain scripts to automate system tasksMaintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations and proceduresProvide technical support and guidance to users and other administratorsBe able to monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal performanceComply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent degreeExperience of supporting vendor applications (BigFix, TWS Agent Support, IBM Tivoli Monitoring or Netcool Suite, preferably IBM Tivoli)Exposure in managing Unix/Linux operating systems, including installation, configuration, and patching

Skills in a scripting language such as Python and Shell. Experience with other programming languages like C, Java or Perl can be beneficial

Experience with updating vendor certificatesKnowledge of security best practices and tools to ensure system integrity and data protectionFamiliarity with configuration management toolsUnderstanding of networking protocols and services (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, NTP, SSL, SSH)Proven solid analytical and problem-solving abilitiesProven excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members and other stakeholdersProven high attention to detail to ensure system reliability and securityProven ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with other IT professionals

Preferred Qualifications:

Certifications such as Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), CompTIA Linux+, or similarWorking knowledge on Cloud technologiesKnowledge for BigFix Relevance language,Knowledge using Chef
