Your role will involve: - Having a thorough understanding of DFT and ab initio electronic structure theory methods. - Proficiency in Quantum Chemistry based software tools such as Turbomole, Gaussian, deMon, GAMESS-US, Quantum espresso, VASP, etc. - Ability to work with scripting languages like Bash, Python, Perl, etc., in a Linux environment and on high-performance computing platforms. - Experience in using electronic structure based software tools to analyze chemical reactivity and reaction mechanisms. - Preferred experience in catalyst design and using data-based models for process optimization. - Utilizing in-house experimental data and model parameters for predictive modeling and statistics. Furthermore, you should possess a working knowledge of classical methods like force fields and molecular dynamics simulations. Your ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary scientific environment and effectively communicate technical results to experimentalists will be crucial for success in this role.
