Environment & FX Artist
who thrives at the intersection of
artistic world building and technical mastery
, with a deep command of
Unreal Engine, Houdini, Maya, and Cinema 4D
.

What You'll Create

  • Rich, believable
    cinematic environments
    — from natural landscapes to royal architectural worlds.
  • High-fidelity FX simulations
    — fire, water, magic, dust, destruction, energy, battle atmospherics and more.
  • Procedural world systems
    using Houdini — terrain sculpting, environment scattering, destruction frameworks.
  • Mood-driven
    real-time cinematic lighting and lookdev
    inside Unreal Engine.
  • Worlds that feel emotionally alive — not just rendered.

Your Role

  • Craft production-ready environments in Unreal, Houdini, or Maya — built for cinematic camera language.
  • Simulate FX that enhance narrative depth, not just visual spectacle.
  • Collaborate closely with our directors, concept art, modeling, animation & compositing teams.
  • Optimize for
    real-time performance without sacrificing cinematic quality
    .
  • Maintain a disciplined workflow — clean scene management, version control, logical asset behavior.

Required Mastery

  • Unreal Engine
    (Cinematic pipelines, Niagara, sequencer-based world building)
  • Houdini
    (Procedural systems, particles, RBDs, volumetrics, large-scale FX)
  • Maya
    (Scene assembly, shot prep, lighting & animation support)
  • Cinema 4D
    (FX, motion, stylized environment elements)

Bonus Advantage

  • Knowledge of
    Megascans, SpeedTree, Substance Painter, ZBrush, Marvelous Designer, or USD workflows
  • Experience in historical, fantasy, or world-building-driven narratives
  • Strong eye for scale, atmosphere, composition, and realism
