Job Overview

Throne Solutions is seeking an experienced and proactive
Network Engineer
for an on-site, contract-based role in Chennai. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in network configuration, troubleshooting, monitoring, and support for enterprise environments. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain network devices including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points.
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity issues, performance concerns, and hardware failures.
  • Monitor network infrastructure to ensure high availability and security.
  • Perform VLAN configurations, routing updates, and network optimization tasks.
  • Support network upgrades, migrations, and deployment of new equipment.
  • Collaborate with remote/global teams for escalations and advanced troubleshooting.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of network layouts, configurations, and service records.
  • Ensure adherence to security policies, best practices, and compliance standards.
  • Provide on-site support for network-related incidents and planned maintenance.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of experience as a Network Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, STP, DHCP, DNS, BGP, OSPF, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise network hardware (Cisco, HP, Juniper, etc.).
  • Proficiency in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
  • Experience with firewall management and security configurations.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues independently.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Must be available to work on-site in

Preferred Qualifications

  • Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, or equivalent.
  • Experience with SD-WAN, VPN configurations, and cloud networking (AWS/Azure) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and enterprise ticketing systems (ServiceNow, JIRA, etc.).
