Key Responsibilities

Vulnerability Assessment: Conduct penetration tests and vulnerability scans to find weaknesses in systems, networks, and applications.

Reporting: Document all findings, including security flaws and exploitation methods, in clear, concise reports for management and IT teams.

Remediation: Provide detailed recommendations and feedback on how to fix vulnerabilities and strengthen defenses.

Security Policy Development: Help create and implement robust security policies and procedures aligned with organizational and regulatory requirements.

Security Awareness: Educate users on best practices to help them contribute to a secure computing environment.

Threat Monitoring: Monitor systems and networks for suspicious activities and investigate security incidents.

Research: Stay updated on the latest hacking techniques, tools, and emerging cyber threats to anticipate and prevent potential attacks.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS), networking (TCP/IP, OSI model), security software, and databases.

Programming: Proficiency in programming languages like Python, C++, Java, or HTML is beneficial.

Security Tools: Experience with vulnerability scanners and penetration testing tools.

Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and troubleshooting skills.

Credentials: Often requires a Bachelor's degree in IT or computer science and potentially certifications like the Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH).
