Position: Insurance Underwriter – General insurance
Department: Underwriting
Reports To: Branch Head
Overview:
As part of the underwriting team, you will contribute to achieving organizational goals by supporting policy issuance, documentation, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders. This role requires a proactive approach and strong teamwork.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Sales and Claims teams to support policy issuance.
- Generate quotations for new and renewal policies.
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of all incoming documents.
- Maintain digital and physical records of policy documentation.
- Assign policy identification numbers for internal use.
- Coordinate with insurance companies for timely policy delivery.
- Share renewal alerts with Sales team monthly.
- Ensure client communication is professional and well-documented.
- Maintain a prompt support system for team members.
Ideal Candidate:
- Team player with a customer-first mindset.
- Experience in general insurance underwriting.
- Organized and detail-oriented.
- Strong follow-up and communication skills.
Candidate experienced in Fire/property underwriting will be given preference.
Salary is no Bar for experienced candidate
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹15, ₹25,000.00 per month
