The NSO Specialist is responsible for the end-to-end execution and operational readiness of new store launches. This role ensures seamless coordination between various departmentsprojects, merchandising, HR, training, IT, and operationsto deliver stores that are fully functional, well-staffed, and aligned with brand standards by the opening date.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Store Opening Execution
- Plan and execute the pre-opening and opening activities for all new stores as per project timelines.
- Coordinate with internal teams (Projects, VM, HR, Training, IT, Marketing, Merchandising, Finance) for smooth store setup.
- Ensure store readiness including infrastructure, visual merchandising, system setup, and manpower availability before launch.
- Supervise the merchandise receipt, tagging, and display before store opening.
- Support the dry run and soft launch activities.
2. Operations Readiness
- Set up SOPs, operational checklists, and daily reporting formats for the new store.
- Conduct operational audits pre and post store opening to ensure compliance.
- Monitor first 30-60 days performance, provide feedback, and support store stabilization.
- Coordinate with IT for POS and system readiness.
- Support store teams in customer service, billing process, inventory management, and day-to-day operations during the initial phase.
3. People & Training
- Liaise with HR and Training team for onboarding and skill training of new staff.
- Conduct on-ground operational training for store teams on processes and brand standards.
- Support store managers in handover process and team alignment.
4. Reporting & Communication
- Maintain store opening tracker and share regular status updates with management.
- Provide post-opening reports highlighting challenges, learnings, and best practices.
- Ensure documentation of store handover reports to operations team post stabilization.
Qualification & Experience:
- Graduate in Business Administration / Retail Management or related field.
- 25 years of experience in retail operations or new store setups (fashion, apparel, lifestyle, F&B, or similar sectors).
- Prior experience in multi-store rollout or expansion projects preferred.
