IT & ERP Manager – Job Description
The IT & ERP Manager is responsible for overseeing the company's IT infrastructure, implementing and managing the ERP system, ensuring data security, and supporting cross-departmental technology needs. The role includes planning, coordinating, and executing technology solutions that improve efficiency, accuracy, and organizational performance.
Key Responsibilities1. ERP Management
- Lead end-to-end implementation, customization, and maintenance of the ERP system (e.g., Tally ERP, SAP, Oracle, Odoo, or industry-specific ERPs).
- Coordinate with department heads to gather requirements and translate them into ERP workflows.
- Optimize ERP modules for Finance, HR, Sales, Procurement, Inventory, Projects, and CRM.
- Manage user access, role permissions, and data migration.
- Ensure timely ERP updates, backups, and performance optimization.
- Train staff on ERP usage and resolve ERP-related issues.
2. IT Infrastructure Management
- Maintain and upgrade all IT hardware and software across the organization.
- Oversee installation and configuration of systems, networks, servers, routers, firewalls, and CCTV (if applicable).
- Manage cloud services, storage, backup systems, and data recovery protocols.
- Ensure smooth operations of email servers, communication tools, and office applications.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues with minimal downtime.
3. Cybersecurity & Data Protection
- Implement and manage IT security policies and best practices.
- Safeguard company data through firewalls, antivirus systems, encryption, and regular audits.
- Conduct periodic vulnerability assessments and security testing.
- Ensure compliance with data-protection regulations (ISO, GDPR—if applicable).
4. Technical Support & Troubleshooting
- Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support to employees.
- Maintain an IT helpdesk system for timely resolution of issues.
- Develop documentation for IT processes and troubleshooting guides.
5. Vendor & Asset Management
- Manage relationships with IT vendors, ERP consultants, and service providers.
- Negotiate contracts, evaluate quotations, and recommend cost-effective solutions.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of laptops, desktops, servers, licenses, and accessories.
6. Strategic IT Planning
- Analyze emerging technologies and recommend adoption aligned with business goals.
- Set IT budgets, forecast requirements, and manage expenditures.
- Contribute to digital transformation initiatives across the company.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems and their modules.
- Expertise in networking, server management, and cybersecurity.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Leadership abilities with experience managing IT teams or external consultants.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹25, ₹40,000.00 per year
