Role & responsibilities

1) Design and development of electrical control panels, instrumentation panels, and distribution boards as per project specifications and industry standards (IEC, NEC, IS, UL, etc.).

2) Prepare, update and review of GA (General Arrangement) drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematic drawings using CAD software such as AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN.

3) Selection of electrical and instrumentation components (circuit breakers, relays, PLCs, switches, sensors etc.) as per industrial standards.

4) Ensure compliance with relevant standards for safety, protection, and reliability.

5) Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM), panel layouts, and technical documentation for procurement and manufacturing.

6) Knowledge of safety systems (VFD, servo systems etc.) and standards compliance.

7) Coordinate with project, procurement, and production teams to ensure smooth execution.

8) Perform design calculations such as short-circuit, cable sizing, and load calculation.

9) Provide technical support during panel assembly, testing, and commissioning.

10) Collaborate with mechanical and project engineering teams to ensure integration and compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements.

11) Experience managing multi-disciplinary engineering projects with attention to configuration, quality, and standards documentation.

Conduct and document quality checks & ensure technical specification with project specifications.

Preferred candidate profile

1) Education: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical, Instrumentation, or related engineering discipline.

2) Candidates with 1-3 years experience in similar work will be preferred.

3) Strong knowledge of electrical design principles, instrumentation, and control systems.

4) Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical / similar design tools.

5) Familiarity with electrical safety codes and compliance standards.

6) Understanding of international electrical codes and standards (IEC, IEEE, IS, NEC, UL).

7) Knowledge of panel wiring, cable routing, and protection schemes.

Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
