About Talla Jewellers:
Talla Jewellers is a premium jewellery brand known for its exquisite craftsmanship and unmatched customer experience. We are looking for a dynamic and strategic Head of Merchandising to lead our buying and merchandising team and ensure the right products, at the right time, reach our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Merchandise Planning & Strategy:
Develop and implement merchandising strategies aligned with business goals.
- Forecast product trends, customer preferences, and seasonal demand.
Define product mix, assortment planning, and pricing strategies.
Product Procurement & Vendor Management:
Source and select vendors, negotiate terms, and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Ensure timely procurement of products in line with store requirements.
Maintain quality standards and ensure compliance with company specifications.
Inventory & Sales Optimization:
Monitor stock levels and turnover to minimize overstock or stockouts.
- Analyze sales performance, identify slow-moving products, and plan markdowns or promotions.
Collaborate with the marketing and store teams to maximize product visibility and sales.
Team Leadership:
Lead and mentor the merchandising team.
- Set performance targets and monitor team efficiency.
Drive continuous improvement in merchandising processes.
Market & Competitive Analysis:
Keep track of jewellery market trends, competitor activities, and pricing strategies.
- Recommend new product lines or collections to stay ahead of the market.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelors degree in Fashion, Business, or related field; MBA preferred.
- Minimum 810 years of experience in merchandising, preferably in jewellery or luxury retail.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team management abilities.
- Knowledge of gold, diamond, and precious stone markets is a plus.
