Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented professional to manage the end-to-end process of filing RBI returns and keeping the organization updated on evolving RBI requirements. This role is crucial to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, especially in light of ongoing due diligence by current and prospective lenders.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, review, and file periodic returns and reports to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) in a timely and accurate manner (e.g., FLA, FCGPR, FCTRS, ECB, ODI, etc.).
Monitor circulars, notifications, and updates issued by RBI and assess their implications on business operations and compliance.
Act as a liaison between the company and regulatory authorities on RBI-related compliance matters.
Support Finance teams in responding to lender due diligence queries related to regulatory filings and compliance.
Maintain updated documentation and audit trails for all filings, communications, and RBI-related records.
Provide proactive updates and briefings to senior management on new RBI regulations or changes to existing guidelines.
Collaborate with legal, finance, and external advisors for any regulatory clarifications or approvals required.
Requirements:
36 years of hands-on experience in RBI return filings and regulatory compliance, preferably in an NBFC, fintech, or financial services environment.
Strong understanding of FEMA regulations, RBI Master Directions, and external commercial borrowing (ECB) norms.
Experience dealing with compliance during lender due diligence processes is highly desirable.
Excellent analytical, communication, and reporting skills.
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and maintain accountability for deliverables.
Preferred Qualifications:
Any Graduate or equivalent background with specialization in regulatory compliance or financial law.
Familiarity with RBI's online filing portals (COSMOS, FIRMS, etc.).
Experience working in a high-growth, compliance-sensitive environment (e.g., fintechs, NBFCs, or regulated startups).
