Position: MEP Assistant Manager Company: Ramachandran Retail Pvt Ltd

Location: Trivandrum Experience: 8 to 10 years

Role & responsibilities

1. MEP Operations & Maintenance

  • Supervise operation and maintenance of HVAC, electrical panels, DG sets, UPS, plumbing, and fire safety systems.
  • Monitor preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure uninterrupted store operations.
  • Troubleshoot MEP-related issues and coordinate for quick resolution.

2. Project Coordination

  • Assist in MEP planning for new store projects, renovations, and fit-outs.
  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and consultants to ensure timely execution of MEP works.
  • Review MEP drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications.

3. Vendor & Contractor Management

  • Identify, evaluate, and coordinate with MEP service vendors.
  • Ensure adherence to SLAs and company standards.
  • Review vendor bills and verify work completion.

4. Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure all MEP systems comply with statutory, environmental, and safety norms.
  • Maintain documentation for inspections, audits, and certifications
  • Implement energy-saving initiatives and sustainability practices.

5. Budgeting & Reporting

  • Assist in MEP maintenance budgeting and cost control.
  • Prepare periodic reports on MEP performance, breakdown analysis, and energy consumption.

Preferred candidate profile

Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire-fighting systems

Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings

Good vendor negotiation and coordination skills

Strong problem-solving capabilities

Working knowledge of MEP safety and compliance standards

Excellent communication and team management skills
