Job Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Automation Test Engineer with expertise in Automation Testing, Core Java, API & UI testing, and CI/CD. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Rest-Assured, JMeter, SQL & Database Testing, and Gherkin-Cucumber (BDD framework). This role requires strong technical proficiency, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Core Java.
  • Perform API testing using Rest-Assured and performance testing using JMeter.
  • Execute SQL queries and perform database testing to validate data integrity.
  • Develop and implement BDD automation frameworks using Gherkin-Cucumber.
  • Work in an Agile development environment, actively participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.
  • Perform CI/CD automation testing and integrate test suites with DevOps pipelines.
  • Troubleshoot test failures, analyze logs, and work closely with developers to resolve defects.
  • Work with Unix/Linux environments, including scripting for automation tasks.
  • Maintain test documentation, reports, and provide continuous improvements to automation strategies.

Required Skills & Expertise:

  • Strong coding skills in Core Java for test automation.
  • Hands-on experience with API testing using Rest-Assured.
  • Practical experience with UI automation tools (JMeter, Selenium, etc.).
  • Expertise in SQL & Database Testing across various databases.
  • Strong experience with BDD frameworks (Gherkin-Cucumber).
  • Experience working in Agile methodology and test-driven development.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work in a global team.
  • Self-motivated problem solver with a strong learning mindset.

Desired Skills:

  • Unix/Linux knowledge and Shell Scripting experience.
  • Experience with DevOps and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, Docker, etc.).
  • Experience in the financial domain is a plus.
