Job description
We are seeking a A Store Keeper manages inventory by receiving, storing, and issuing goods, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring a safe and organized warehouse environment. Key responsibilities include conducting stock checks, preparing purchase requisitions, documenting all stock movements, and adhering to safety and inventory management protocols to support efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Management: Keep accurate records of stock levels, conduct regular stock checks, and ensure timely replenishment of items.
- Receiving & Dispatch: Inspect and receive incoming materials, ensuring they match purchase orders and are stored appropriately. Manage the accurate dispatch of goods to customers or other departments.
- Documentation: Record the receipt and issue of all materials, maintaining logbooks or electronic records to track inventory levels and movements.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to maintain orderliness in storage areas and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Attention to Detail: Crucial for accurate record-keeping, inventory counts, and order processing.
- Computer Proficiency: Familiarity with warehouse management software, spreadsheets, and other relevant applications.
- Physical Stamina: Dexterity and the ability to lift and move inventory, as some tasks can be physically demanding.
- Computer Skills: Employers expect storekeepers to have computer knowledge.
