The opportunity
Join Unity's Global Payroll Team, supporting more than 4,200 employees across 28 countries. As the Payroll lead for the EMEA region, you will oversee payroll operations, ensure compliance across multiple jurisdictions, and serve as the subject matter expert for all payroll-related activities.
We are seeking a proven operational leader with experience in managing complex, multi-country payrolls and driving process excellence. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant contribution to Unity's global payroll strategy and operational success.
What you'll be doing
- Lead end-to-end payroll operations for multiple EMEA countries (including France, Finland, Denmark, Spain, and the UK), ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery.
- Manage and develop a team of payroll specialists, fostering high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Partner cross-functionally with HR, Finance, and external vendors to ensure seamless payroll execution, strong governance, and effective issue resolution.
- Oversee compliance and controls, including SOX requirements, audits, reconciliations, and adherence to internal policies.
- Drive operational excellence by identifying process improvements, implementing automation, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of payroll legislation and best practices.
What we're looking for
- Extensive multi-country payroll experience within EMEA, with deep expertise in France, Finland, Denmark, Spain, and the UK (Israel experience a plus).
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with a proven ability to coach, motivate, and develop teams.
- Solid understanding of payroll compliance, SOX controls, and audit standards, ensuring accuracy and integrity in all payroll operations.
- Proficiency with global payroll and HR systems (Workday, CloudPay, SAP, ADP, or equivalent) and strong analytical/problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with fluency in English.
You might also have
- Experience of working & using CloudPay application as well as various In-country partners
- Experience of managing leave & absences and in-depth knowledge on absence related compliances.
- Professional Payroll Certification like CIPP, Global Payroll Management Certificate, or local equivalents.
