Job Summary

This individual contributor is primarily responsible for assisting in the development of the software quality assurance test strategy and works closely with senior team members to assist in the development of software quality assurance project plans. In addition to the responsibilities listed below, this position is responsible for understanding programming concepts, JavaScript concepts, and Web Services standards.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Completes work assignments by applying up-to-date knowledge in subject area to meet deadlines; following procedures and policies, and applying data and resources to support projects or initiatives; collaborating with others, often cross-functionally, to solve business problems; supporting the completion of priorities, deadlines, and expectations; communicating progress and information; identifying and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities when possible; and escalating issues or risks as appropriate.
  • Pursues self-development and effective relationships with others by sharing resources, information, and knowledge with coworkers and customers; listening, responding to, and seeking performance feedback; acknowledging strengths and weaknesses; assessing and responding to the needs of others; and adapting to and learning from change, difficulties, and feedback. Identifies and documents test defects.
  • Reviews functional specifications to ensure business and architectural requirements are testable.
  • Develops test scenarios and executes test cases across all testing phases (e.g., SIT, Performance, UAT, Automation, Production, Validation). Identifies, defines, and mitigates issues, dependencies, and risks related to testing.
  • Adheres to entry and exit criteria according to Kaiser testing standards with guidance from senior team members, as appropriate.
  • Reviews and validates testable business processes, test data, and test environment requirements. Provides input into test plans and timelines. Helps develop testing scope and approach.
  • Assists in the development of the quality assurance (QA) test project strategies, methodologies, and standard processes for moderately to highly complex IT initiatives across multiple QA domains, by analyzing business and technology requirements to ensure testability and traceability.
