Job Overview

Chandak Agarwal & Co. is seeking a fresher candidate for the position of CA Article in Mumbai, Mumbai Suburban. This is a full-time opportunity for individuals with 0 to 1 years of experience to gain hands-on experience in accounting and taxation. The role offers exposure to key financial procedures and regulatory compliance in a reputable accounting firm.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Financial Accounting skills (Mandatory skill) focusing on the accurate and timely recording of financial transactions and preparation of financial statements.
  • Adequate understanding of auditing procedures (Mandatory skill) to assist in the examination of financial statements and ensuring compliance with applicable standards.
  • Proficiency in Income Tax Filing (Mandatory skill) to ensure adherence to tax regulations and aid clients in preparing and filing their income tax returns.
  • Familiarity with taxation laws for effective tax planning, minimizing liabilities, and ensuring compliance with governmental regulations.
  • Ability to use Excel for financial analysis to interpret data, perform complex calculations, and prepare comprehensive financial reports.
  • Understanding of Tally ERP to maintain accurate financial records and manage accounts efficiently.
  • Basic knowledge of GST compliance to assist in understanding and implementing goods and services tax regulations.
  • Appreciation for corporate law and its applications, providing a foundational understanding of the legal requirements affecting business operations.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Assist in various audit processes, including planning, execution, and reporting, to ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards.
  • Engage in income tax return preparation and auditing activities, ensuring accuracy and conformity with applicable tax regulations.
  • Support financial accounting tasks through data entry, reconciliation, and preparation of financial statements.
  • Participate in tax planning and compliance payables to contribute to the preparation of strategic tax-saving measures.
  • Involve in maintaining GST records and preparing GST returns as required by law ensuring timely submissions.
  • Contribute to the comprehension and application of corporate law within the firm's operational framework and client advisory services.
  • Contribute to monthly closing procedures, assisting with ledger reviews, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Provide operational support in financial analysis, helping in the creation of management information systems and reports.
