Job Description

As a Front-end Development Engineer your main role will be to prototype and implement user interfaces as part of a team of Software Engineers. This will involve creating front ends for web apps using React. You will need to have an eye for design to translate designs into pixel perfect implementations.

You will be working closely with product and engineering team members, advising and collaborating to create industry leading solutions involving bleeding-edge prototype technologies

Candidate

The ideal candidate should be someone with multiple years developing software using React. They will:

  • Have experience building large-scale data heavy React applications
  • Be experienced in TypeScript and is familiar with schema validation libraries such as Zod
  • Have experience working with headless component libraries
  • Have a strong understanding of frontend data management concepts including caching, invalidation, and prefetching
  • Be familiar with modern React Router patterns including data routers and route loaders
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging frontend technologies
  • Strong Git knowledge is a bonus

Responsibilities

As part of a team of Front-end Developers:

  • Work, advise, and collaborate with UX Designers to produce elegant and innovative front-end user interfaces in the latest front-end technologies
  • Prototype new ways to interact with bleeding edge mobile and virtual technologies
  • Fulfil several project requests simultaneously while meeting deadlines
  • Interact with teams across the whole of Zebra to spread the message of good User Experiences
  • Take part in team brainstorms to discover new and innovative product ideas
