We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage all aspects of cost estimation, billing, and quantity management for our ongoing and upcoming construction projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to optimize project costs without compromising on quality.
Please note - Experience into Leveling and grading of Earth work experience / Earth work excavation/ Earth work quantity take-off would be an added advantage.
Role & responsibilities :
Project Costing & Estimation
- Understand client requirements and perform quantity take-offs based on marking and RCP drawings.
- Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) by reviewing specification sheets provided by the sales team.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies between BOQ, drawings, and contract specifications.
Tendering & Contract Management
- Participate in pre-tendering discussions with clients, architects, and project managers.
- Raise and address pre-bid queries and assist in preparing tender documentation.
- Prepare initial cost estimates, quotations, and contracts for the sales team.
Project Execution & Monitoring
- Monitor and control project costs, identifying opportunities for cost savings and value engineering.
- Coordinate with design teams to analyze architectural and service drawings.
- Manage valuations, variations, and claims related to project works.
- Prepare interim and final valuations, ensuring timely client billing and certification.
Value Engineering & Reporting
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for project optimization.
- Collaborate with all stakeholders to ensure cost-effective project delivery and value for money
Desired profile:-
- Bachelors degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
- 914 years of relevant experience in quantit surveying, billing, or cost management in the construction or real estate sector.
- Strong understanding of tendering processes, contract conditions, and project costing.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and estimation software tools (e.g., Candy, CostX, etc.) preferred.
