Role & responsibilities

  • Perform and interpret nuclear medicine imaging studies including PET-CT, SPECT, bone scans, cardiac scans, thyroid scans, renal scans, and others.
  • Conduct radionuclide therapies following established protocols.
  • Review and approve nuclear medicine procedures ensuring patient safety and diagnostic accuracy.
  • Provide consultations to referring clinicians regarding imaging findings and radionuclide therapy suitability.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and clinical case discussions.
  • Supervise NM technologist in daily operations and ensure compliance with radiation safety norms.
  • Maintain quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) for all nuclear medicine equipment and radiopharmaceuticals.
  • Ensure adherence to AERB/IAEA and local radiation protection standards.
  • Oversee proper documentation, reporting, and record-keeping for all nuclear medicine procedures.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Strong expertise in nuclear medicine imaging interpretation and radionuclide therapy.
  • Proficiency in PET-CT.
  • In-depth understanding of radiation physics and safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Commitment to ethical clinical practice, accuracy, and patient safety.
