Key Duties and Responsibilities:1. Cash Handling & Billing

  • Operate the cash register or POS system accurately.
  • Process payments through cash, cards, UPI, or other digital methods.
  • Issue receipts, refunds, and credits to customers as needed.
  • Balance the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.
  • Maintain accurate daily sales and cash collection reports.

2. Customer Service

  • Greet customers politely and take their orders when required.
  • Handle customer queries and complaints professionally.
  • Ensure quick and efficient service during rush hours.

3. Coordination with Kitchen/Service Staff

  • Communicate orders clearly to kitchen staff (if required).
  • Inform the kitchen or serving team about any special customer requests.
  • Coordinate with serving staff to ensure smooth order delivery.

4. Record Keeping & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate sales records and submit daily reports to the manager or accountant.
  • Assist in preparing sales summaries and cash reconciliation.
  • Support inventory control by notifying shortages or discrepancies.

5. Hygiene & Workplace Maintenance

  • Keep the billing counter clean and organized at all times.
  • Follow all food safety and hygiene policies.
  • Maintain the cafeteria's overall professional appearance.

6. Additional Responsibilities

  • Assist with packaging and takeaway orders during peak hours.
  • Participate in stock checking or counting when required.
  • Support management in implementing promotions or discounts.
