The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and debugging responsive web and mobile applications for the company. Using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, this candidate will be able to translate user and business needs into functional frontend design.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the PWA Front-End: Build the MVP as a responsive application using React (or Angular), utilizing a pre-built design system (Material UI, Bootstrap, etc.) to ensure a polished, uniform look.
  • Independent Feature Development: Own and implement front-end features end to-end. Work independently to deliver modules on time, aligning with the 13-week MVP timeline while maintaining high code quality and performance
  • Integrate with Azure Backend: Collaborate with data engineer to integrate RESTful APIs (hosted on Azure Functions) and ensure seamless data flow between the frontend and the Azure SQL Database. Implement and handle authentication /authorization flows via Azure Active Directory.
  • UI/UX Implementation: Translate UI/UX design concepts into functional interfaces. Apply user experience principles and feedback to create intuitive, user friendly screens using the chosen design library. Iterate quickly on the interface based on user testing feedback during the MVP pilot phase.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with RSK's internal stakeholders, product owners, and the technical team to gather requirements and adjust the product to business needs. Communicate progress, challenges, and updates clearly in English, and incorporate input from testers and project leads into the development cycle
  • Iteration and Feedback Loop: After initial release, promptly fix bugs and refine features. Gather user feedback from MVP testing and rapidly implement improvements to enhance usability and functionality in subsequent iterations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science
  • 3+ years' experience in frontend development
  • Experience you will develop an application using React (preferred) or Angular, leveraging a UI component library (e.g. Material UI or Bootstrap) for a consistent, responsive design
