We are looking for a Plant Medical Officer who is confident and possesses an MBBS degree along with AFIH ceritification. The ideal candidate should have 8-12 years of experience working in a manufacturing plant environment and be adept at handling unionized workforces.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Medical Examinations: Conducting pre-employment, periodic, medical examinations of workers, especially those involved in hazardous processes.
  • Occupational Health Management: Identifying and managing occupational health hazards, providing advice on preventive measures, and conducting ergonomic studies.
  • Emergency Medical Response: Providing immediate medical attention to workplace injuries and illnesses and managing medical emergencies. Adequate tie up with nearby secondary and tertiary care hospital for emergency management.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, including those related to hazardous processes and the employment of children.
  • Audit Compliance: Implementation of various process like legal/statutory requirements for audits like ISO45001:2018, ISO14001:2015, customer audits, govt inspections etc., All the documents and process should be future ready for the same.
  • Health Promotion: Developing and implementing health and wellness programs, including health education and counselling on various topics.
  • Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate medical records and documentation related to workers' health and safety as per statutory norms.
  • Statutory forms: Fitness for working in dangerous operations, Health register, Fitness for food handlers, Pre employment forms etc., should be made available at any time as per local laws.
