Role Overview

We are seeking a highly accomplished
Technical Director – Electrical
with extensive experience in
Plant Design Engineering consulting
for
Life Sciences, Pharma, and Biotech facilities
. The role requires subject matter expertise in
electrical system design, engineering, and compliance
for complex, regulated projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the
    Subject Matter Expert (SME)
    for
    electrical engineering
    in large-scale life sciences, pharma, and biotech plant design projects.
  • Lead and review
    electrical design deliverables
    , including:
  • Single line diagrams (SLDs), load lists, and power distribution schemes.
  • Lighting layouts, earthing, lightning protection, and cable routing.
  • Specifications for transformers, switchgear, MCCs, VFDs, UPS, DG systems.
  • Define and implement
    electrical design standards, philosophies, and guidelines
    in compliance with international codes and pharma regulations.
  • Provide technical leadership for
    power system studies (short circuit, load flow, protection coordination, arc flash analysis)
    .
  • Review
    3D modeling (Plant 3D, SmartPlant Electrical)
    and interdisciplinary coordination with piping, HVAC, and instrumentation teams.
  • Advise clients on
    energy efficiency, renewable integration, and sustainable electrical design practices
    .
  • Support
    business development
    through technical expertise in proposals, presentations, and client interactions.
  • Mentor and coach electrical engineering teams to ensure delivery of world-class engineering outputs.
