Job Summary:

The Front Office Duty Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the front office during their shift. This includes managing guest services, supervising front office staff, handling guest complaints, ensuring a smooth check-in/check-out process, and maintaining high standards of customer service and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise all front office operations during assigned shifts, including reception, concierge, reservations, and guest services.
  • Ensure prompt, efficient, and courteous check-in and check-out processes.
  • Handle and resolve guest complaints and feedback in a professional and timely manner.
  • Monitor staff performance and provide guidance, coaching, and support as needed.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to meet guest needs.
  • Ensure accurate billing and cashiering procedures are followed.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the lobby and front desk area to ensure cleanliness and presentation.
  • Enforce hotel policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Prepare shift reports and communicate issues or special requests to relevant departments.
  • Serve as the Manager on Duty in the absence of senior management.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in front office or guest services, preferably in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Degree or diploma in Hospitality Management or a related field preferred.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Proficient in property management systems (e.g., Opera, Fidelio).
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Calm and professional under pressure, with a focus on guest satisfaction.
