PLSQL Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and maintain PostgreSQL databases using PL/pgSQL.
• Design and implement stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views.
• Write efficient SQL queries, perform query tuning, and improve overall database performance.
• Collaborate with backend and application developers to integrate database logic with application features.
• Ensure database security, backups, and disaster-recovery processes are followed.
• Analyse existing SQL logic and refactor for performance and maintainability.
• Troubleshoot database issues and provide long-term solutions.
• Work with data models, schemas, indexing strategies, and query optimization.
• Support ETL processes, data transformation tasks, and data validation checks.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3–7 years of hands-on experience with PostgreSQL.
• Strong proficiency in PL/pgSQL, SQL optimization, and performance tuning.
• Experience designing and working with relational database schemas.
• Understanding of indexing, partitions, query plans, and execution strategies.
• Familiarity with database versioning, migrations, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of JSON, arrays, CTEs, window functions, and advanced PostgreSQL features.
